Teja, Project Manager, Slovenia

Domžale is a pretty little town near Ljubljana that basically has it all. There are numerous cycling and hiking trails. For nature lovers, there's an arboretum, which boasts over 3,000 different plant species and draws more visitors than any other horticultural complex in Slovenia. There's also the medieval Krumperk Castle and a unique museum celebrating the region's traditional craft of making straw hats. I grew up in this town, live here and, so far, I haven't found anywhere I would rather spend my days. But I would love to travel to Namibia to visit the national parks – and go on a safari. I'd like to see the country's famous red dunes, the world's second largest canyon, the flamingos and other wildlife. Antarctica is also on my bucket list, because it’s so far away and so inaccessible. In my mother tongue, Slovenian, we have a proverb: "Čudeži so za tiste, ki vanje verjamejo." It means that miracles are made for those who believe in them. And I am a true believer.
