Research rocket launch in Kiruna

Denying gravity

With its delivery to northern Sweden, Gebrüder Weiss facilitated research trials that involved exposure to weightlessness – or more specifically “microgravity” conditions – for six minutes on the SubOrbital Express 3 rocket. The range of experiments focused on everything from the use of stem cells for curing diabetes through to particle research that will hopefully provide insights into the formation of the solar system. The SubOrbital Express 3 is the fifteenth in a series of MASER rockets to take off from the Esrange Space Center. The launch was initially postponed due to inclement weather, but finally took place successfully on November 23. Watch now!
