Which source of power makes you happier? The clean option or the cheap option?

One of the key ingredients in quality of life is a well preserved environment with clean air, reliable energy supply, and low dependency on energy imports. Using resources responsibly is therefore in the interests of everyone – including generations to come. Countries such as New Zealand are showing how broad use of geothermal energy, hydro energy, and wind power can cover almost all energy needs.

Gebrüder Weiss has been using renewable energies for many years now. For example, a number of solar power systems installed on the roof of the logistics terminal provide a source of clean energy. In 2024, they generated a total of around 12,630 megawatt hours of electricity – which equates to roughly half of the annual needs of all Gebrüder Weiss locations worldwide.
