Space technologies can be found in ATMs and petro pumps, in every weather forecast or cancer screening, meaning that space is already an integral part of our everyday infrastructure. "The analog Mars mission lays another foundation stone for people living on Mars in the not too distant future and seeing Earth in the night sky", Grömer is convinced.
